Johor coast views, warm air, and enough quiet to actually switch off from work. It's glamping, not roughing it, so expect tents that are already set up for you.

The crowd here leans toward couples, families, and friend groups looking for a chill getaway rather than an adventure hike. Nobody's carrying a 20kg pack here. You come, you set your stuff down, you breathe. One reviewer literally called it the best place to release stress — and honestly, I get that. Mersing is well-connected from JB via the Kota Tinggi route — takes roughly 2 hours from JB, around 4 hours from KL depending on traffic. The road into the campsite is along a coastal village road so it's narrow but paved. No 4WD needed. Standard saloon cars can make it fine. What to Expect

This is a coastal glamping setup — tents are pre-pitched, you're not sleeping on the jungle floor. The real draw is the view and the night sky. One reviewer caught a full starry sky on a clear night, which is genuinely hard to get near KL. Out here in Mersing, light pollution is low enough that you actually see stars. Sunrise? Just as good. Face the right direction and you've got the whole show from your tent.

It's best suited for beginner campers, families, and couples. Not for people who want to go deep jungle or waterfall chasing — this is pure relax mode. The sea breeze does most of the work for you in terms of keeping things comfortable at night, so you won't be sweating in your sleep. Since there's an open kitchen on site and you can actually cook proper food, bring a proper setup.
