This is the "I want to be surrounded by trees but I also want to sleep comfortably" kind of camp.

The property is split into phases, with Phase 2 being the more popular one right now. They've got differently named tent experiences — The Groove, The Haven, The Ridge — each with slightly different setups and views. The Ridge, from what guests are saying, has the better view and gets a lot of love. Amenities are still growing — there's ongoing construction, so the place is actively expanding. Right now there's a pickleball court, a café, campfire sessions, and the option to roast marshmallows at night. Pet friendly too, which is a nice touch.

The environment itself? Genuinely beautiful. Quiet, green, cool-ish by evening, and that mountain morning air hits different when you wake up surrounded by forest. The place has real potential — you can feel it when you're there.

Getting There

The address is Lot 27826, Jalan Lama, off Lebuhraya Karak, Bukit Tinggi, Bentong, Pahang. If you're coming from KL, take the Karak Highway and look for the Bukit Tinggi / Bentong exit. Jalan Lama is the older road that runs parallel to the highway through this area — it's a more kampung route compared to the main expressway.

Heads up: the access road has rocky ground and steep slopes. One reviewer specifically flagged this — drive carefully, especially if you're not used to hilly terrain. You don't need a 4WD, but take it slow. Low-clearance cars might scrape if you rush it. Best to go in the daytime on your first visit so you can navigate the slopes properly.

What to Expect

This is a glamping site, not a camping site. You're not roughing it. The tents come with real beds, air conditioning, a fridge, and at least some units have private toilets. What Campers Are Saying

The vibe from most reviewers is: the place itself is genuinely beautiful and the tent setup is impressive, but the service and food need work before this becomes a truly effortless stay.

Jass stayed at The Groove and praised the beautiful environment and clean bathrooms — the green chili sauce with the steamboat was a standout.

ASJ, who stayed overnight in late April, had a smoother experience. Quiet surroundings, no insects inside the tent, and dinner and breakfast both provided without issue. His one consistent note: the roads going in are rocky and steep — drive carefully. He also mentioned it's suitable for a single night stay and flagged the ongoing construction, which means more amenities are on the way but it might get more crowded as it fills out.

Joveen had a really good stay overall. She highlighted the staff member (shoutout to Izz) who came over to check in on them — that kind of personal touch makes a difference. Butler service was quick. The tent cleanliness was solid, the bed was comfortable, and the earplugs were a small but genuinely thoughtful detail. She enjoyed the campfire, roasted marshmallows, and movie session, and said by 6pm the temperature had cooled right down. Verdict: would come back.

Ee Chern's group booked The Haven and got upgraded to The Ridge — and they appreciated the view. Food portions came up again as something that could be improved, but overall a positive escape-from-the-city experience.

Leslie stayed at The Ridge in Phase 2 and loved waking up to rain in the mountains with crisp mountain air, complete amenities, and 10/10 cleanliness. She'd highly recommend it — the location and comfort make it a genuine mountain retreat.

TAHAN Tip

Book The Ridge if it's available. Multiple reviewers confirmed it has the best views on site, and at least one group got an upgrade to it — so it's clearly the premium spot. If you're going as a couple, ask specifically for Ridge when booking rather than leaving it to chance.

Also, go on a weeknight if you can. Right now the place is still building out, so weekends might start filling up faster as word spreads. A Tuesday to Wednesday stay means you basically have the hillside to yourself, the campfire feels more personal, and the staff has more bandwidth to actually look after you properly.

And seriously, pack your own extra food. The breakfast portions are small and the steamboat is just okay. Bentong town nearby is worth a quick stop on the way in — grab some extra snacks or even Bentong's famous ginger products while you're at it.
