This is not a campsite where you pitch your own tent. Sameer Glamping is a proper glamping setup — pre-pitched tents, covered common area, BBQ facilities — the whole thing. But if you want that outdoor feel without the hassle of dragging all your gear up to Cameron Highlands, this is actually a pretty solid option.

The place sits on a hilltop right next to Tekoma Hotel in Tanah Rata. You get that classic Cameron chill — sejuk, misty mornings, mountain views, flowers everywhere. It's small and intimate, not some big resort. Dogs are welcome here, which is rare enough that it's worth calling out. A lot of people specifically come here because of that. The owner sounds like a genuinely nice person — attentive, provides charcoal for BBQ, even throws in small snacks.

Crowd-wise this is more couples, families with dogs, or groups wanting a chill highland getaway. Not a hardcore camping crowd. More like people who want the glamping experience without flying to Bali.

Getting There

Here's the thing — don't trust Waze on this one. Multiple people have said Waze drops you at the wrong spot. Use Google Maps instead, but even then, it might take you to an apartment area at the hillfoot.

What you want to do: when you reach that apartment area, look for the Tekoma Hotel signboard. Follow that signboard up the hill. The road going up is steep — like really steep — so drive carefully, especially if it's wet. Sameer Glamping and the A-frame house are right next to Tekoma, side by side at the top.

From Tanah Rata town it's only about 5 minutes. So once you figure out the access road, everything else is easy. Normal cars should be fine but take it slow on that incline.

What to Expect

You're on a hilltop with a view. Mornings here are genuinely beautiful — one reviewer mentioned waking up, opening the tent door, and catching the sunrise right there. That kind of thing. The common area is spacious and there's covered walkway between the tents, toilet, and common area, so light rain won't ruin your night.

The glamping tents are set up and ready for you. Kitchen utensils are provided, so you can either buy groceries in Tanah Rata and cook yourself, or just eat out — town is literally 5 minutes away. The yard is big enough for dogs to run around, which the dog owners absolutely loved.
