RAF Point Kota Tinggi — Zipline, ATV, and a Hike Up Gunung Panti in One Day
The Vibe
Let me be upfront about something first — RAF Point is a day-trip adventure activity spot, not a campsite. You come here for the zipline, the ATV, and possibly a hike up Gunung Panti. No tent pitching. No overnight stays. One of the reviewers literally requested for the owner to build a glamping site because the place is so good they didn't want to leave. That says a lot.
The place is run by En Fadhil and his family, and you feel that from the moment you arrive. It's not a corporate operation with a ticketing counter and a queue. Uncle Wan will show you to the surau. Pn Fareena handles your booking and registration. The staff — Zati, Ijat, Zetty — actually brief you properly, fit your harness, and make sure you're comfortable before sending you off. It's got that kampung warmth with proper safety standards, which is a rare combo.
The setting is lush — palm oil estates, jungle trails, and Gunung Panti right there if you're up for it. Come with a group, book via WhatsApp, and set aside a full day. You'll need it.

Getting There
RAF Point is in Kampung Lukut, Kota Tinggi, Johor — address is Lot 9662, Rancangan Sungai Sendayan. Use Google Maps (cid: 18088544795356143610) and it should get you there. If you're coming from JB, it's roughly an hour's drive northeast toward Kota Tinggi town, then into the kampung areas. Roads leading into the estate area can be narrow, so watch out for lorries and the occasional pothole. No 4WD needed, but don't come in a super low-clearance car just to be safe.
WhatsApp them at 019-612 1777 before you go. Booking is done through WhatsApp anyway, and they can guide you on directions if you get lost in the estate roads. Don't just show up unannounced — they accept reservations, even for small groups of two, but they do appreciate a heads-up.

What to Expect
Full-day adventure. That's what this is. The main activities are zipline, ATV (4km route), paintball, and if you're feeling brave, a hike up Gunung Panti for the "Straight Zipline" or "Postman Walk" photoshoot. The ATV route runs through palm oil areas — easy sections and some genuinely challenging bits — then ends on a circuit. The 4km sounds manageable, but reviewers say it feels longer than expected. That's a good thing.
This place suits groups of friends, colleagues doing team bonding, or couples who want something more exciting than a weekend mall trip. Families with older kids should be fine too. If you're not fit, the hike up Gunung Panti will test you — but the staff, specifically En Fadhil himself, will walk with you and teach you breathing techniques. You won't be abandoned on the trail.
Not for very young kids or people who want a chill nature walk. This is an active, physical, get-your-heart-pumping kind of day out.

Facilities
Prayer Area
There's a surau on site. Uncle Wan will point you to it when you arrive. Solid touch for Muslim visitors — you can pray without rushing off somewhere.
Safety Gear
Full harness and safety equipment provided for zipline. Briefing is proper, not just a five-second talk. Staff check your gear before you go.
Photography
The team takes photos during your activities and sends them to you for free. Jacob mentioned this specifically — a nice bonus you don't usually get at paid activity parks.
Booking
All done via WhatsApp. Smooth process. Pn Fareena handles it and is responsive and accommodating even for small groups on weekdays.
Overnight Stay
Not available yet. Several reviewers have requested glamping or chalet options. For now, plan to head home the same day.

What Campers Are Saying
Jacob, who did the zipline for the first time, said he felt completely safe throughout — proper briefing, gear checked, no rushing. He also highlighted the ATV ride through the palm oil estate as a highlight, especially the mix of easy terrain and harder sections. The fact that they sent him photos for free was a bonus he didn't expect.
Nina Adana's review is the one that really paints the full picture. She and her partner almost didn't go for the Gunung Panti hike because she's not a hiker. But En Fadhil personally guided them up, teaching her how to breathe properly on the climb. She said it ended up being the most rewarding part of the day. Her closing suggestion? Build a glamping site — she's already planning to come back.
Munirah Amir took the 4km ATV ride and said it felt longer than 4km, which she meant in a good way. She loved that the route has real variety — from relatively flat palm oil tracks to more challenging terrain before finishing on the circuit.
Siti Raziah brought her group on a weekday in June and tried zipline, paintball, and the ATV all in one session. She specifically called out the intern, Zetty, for being patient and thorough — not something you usually see mentioned in reviews. Says the staff made the whole experience feel supported and safe.

TAHAN Tip
Book on a weekday if you can. Reviewers who came on weekdays — even just a pair — got personal attention from the owner and staff. No queue, no rushed briefings. The experience is genuinely different when it's not crowded. And if En Fadhil suggests you do the Gunung Panti hike after your zipline and ATV session, say yes. It rounds off the day properly. Just bring enough water — at least 1.5 litres per person for the hike. The climb isn't extreme, but the humidity will get you.
Since there's no overnight option here (yet), you don't need to bring sleeping gear. But if this visit to RAF Point gets you thinking about doing a proper overnight in Johor — Gunung Panti Campsite is just nearby, and for a night out in the jungle, the TAHAN Panthera Inflatable Sleeping Pad is worth throwing in your bag. The 10cm thickness makes a real difference when you're sleeping on uneven forest ground.
