Lembah Irfan Ahza is a recreational and training centre in Kampung Sungai Penchala, and what it's really about is giving families a place to lepak, makan sedap, and enjoy some greenery without driving hours out of the city. That said, as a day-out destination, this place genuinely surprised me. It's tucked inside KL — seriously, a stone's throw from TTDI and 1 Utama — and yet it somehow feels like you've escaped the city. Green, quiet, and honestly a bit magical if you go on a weekday when the crowds are thin. The durian orchard alone is already a flex — the only one within KL city limits apparently. Brian Goh from the reviews put it best: "So close to TTDI and 1 U." For city folks who can't drive three hours every weekend, this scratches the itch.

Weekends they do a fire show on Saturdays — one reviewer Purbasari mentioned a heart shape made of fire, which sounds properly dramatic. It's that kind of place. A little bit fun, a little bit rustic, with food stalls and family activities thrown in. More taman rekreasi vibes than hardcore camping — and that's completely fine.

Sungai Penchala is sandwiched between TTDI, Damansara, and Bukit Kiara — so access is actually pretty easy. No 4WD needed, no gravel roads, no drama. Normal cars will be fine. It's the kind of spot where you can even pop by after work if you felt like it. If you're coming from 1 Utama or TTDI, it's a short drive through the kampung roads — just follow the map. Parking should be available on site.

What to Expect

This one is clearly geared toward families and corporate groups. There are activity games, food stalls, ATV rides, and according to Abdul Rahim, "lots of games" to keep the whole family busy. The setting is green and relatively quiet — not jungle-level silence, but a genuine breath of fresh air compared to KL concrete.

The vibe is relaxed. Come for a few hours, makan, let the kids run around, maybe do a lap on the ATV. Families with young kids will probably love it. Corporate team-building groups are another big crowd here — the "Pusat Latihan" part of the name gives it away. Don't expect a wilderness experience. This is a managed recreational space, clean and organised, with food and activities on hand.
