Getting There

The address is Lot 60484, Jalan Peranginan Batu Hampar, Yan Besar, 06900 Yan, Kedah. Use the Google Maps link — don't try to wing it with just the address. Yan is about 30-40 minutes south of Sungai Petani, and the road heading up toward Gunung Jerai can get a bit winding. Nothing crazy, normal cars can handle it fine. Look for signage around the Batu Hampar recreational area. If you're coming from KL, shoot up the North-South Highway and exit at Gurun or Sungai Petani North, then work your way toward Yan.

What to Expect

Jerai Nature Glamping is built for relaxing, not adventure hiking. You're here to breathe, slow down, mandi sungai, and eat well. The surroundings are lush — proper jungle greenery with Gunung Jerai as the backdrop. Morning and evening views get mentioned a lot by guests, and from the photos, you can see why.

The campground is still evolving — ongoing projects, some infrastructure being built up — but that's not a dealbreaker. It's already functional and comfortable. Best suited for families, couples, or anyone who wants a nature escape without roughing it. Not the place for hardcore campers looking for a challenge.

One reviewer from Thailand stayed two nights in January and said the daytime weather was pleasant, nights got cool to cold. So if you're visiting during the cooler months (November to February), pack a light layer.
