The Baruh Glamping, Melaka — Glamping by the Beach Done Right
The Vibe
Look, not everyone wants to sleep on a sleeping mat and wake up with a sore back. Some of us just want the feeling of being outdoors — the night breeze, the sounds, the campfire — without hauling 15kg of gear. That's exactly what The Baruh Glamping is built for. This is a proper glamping spot in Tanjung Kling, Melaka. Pre-pitched tents, curated setups, friendly hosts, and the beach is literally a short walk away.
The crowd here is mostly families and couples. Young parents bringing the kids for a first taste of the outdoors. Couples who want something different for a weekend. Groups of friends who want a chill hangout spot. Nobody here is going to quiz you on your ultralight setup. And that's totally fine — that's the whole point of this place.
The atmosphere is warm and relaxed. The hosts are clearly invested in making the stay good — there are activities, BBQ, and even a fire show at night. It's the kind of place where you arrive, instantly feel at ease, and wonder why you don't do this more often.

Getting There
The Baruh Glamping is located along Jalan Pantai Kundur in Tanjung Kling, Melaka — about 15 to 20 minutes from Ayer Keroh or roughly 10km from Melaka town. If you're coming from KL, head down the PLUS highway and exit at Ayer Keroh, then follow signs towards Tanjung Kling. The road all the way in is normal tar road — no 4WD needed, no drama. Just plug the Google Maps link into your phone and follow along.
Tanjung Kling itself is a coastal stretch that most day-trippers don't think to explore. Once you're near the area, you'll start seeing the seafront opening up. The glamping site is along that coastal road. Parking should be straightforward based on what guests have mentioned.

What to Expect
This is full-service glamping. You're not pitching anything, you're not building a fire from scratch. You show up, you check in, and everything is set up for you. The tents are proper — guests stayed in options like the Mat Kilau tent (sleeps up to 6, apparently) and the Kasturi tent. Spacious, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged. Bathrooms are external to the tents but private and clean — a bit of an adventure but not a dealbreaker at all.
The beach at Tanjung Kling is a short walk from the site. Don't come expecting a resort beach — this is the Melaka coastline, so keep expectations realistic. But the access is there, and it adds to the whole coastal getaway feel. What makes this place stand out is the programming — BBQ dinner, a fire show at night, and activities like mini golf, a swimming pool, congkak, foosball, and board games. There's genuinely enough to keep kids busy and adults entertained without anyone getting bored.
This place is made for beginners, families, and anyone who wants a zero-stress outdoor experience. If you're a hardcore camper looking for a challenge, this isn't your spot. But if you want a comfortable, memorable night out with your family? This hits the mark. Given how relaxed the whole setup is, bringing a comfortable TAHAN FlexLite Chair to park yourself by the BBQ or near the beach area would honestly make the whole stay even better — lightweight, easy to bring along in the car.

What Campers Are Saying
Amirul called it the best glamping experience he's ever had. Easy booking, superb host, 5-star accommodations, and easy beach access. That's a solid summary right there.
Xin Yun has been back a second time — and honestly, that says more than any review could. She highlighted the warm hospitality, the clean environment, the BBQ, and the fire show. Repeat customers are the real endorsement.
One family who came for a 3-day, 2-night stay — their first ever glamping trip — said it's one they'll always remember. Six people stayed comfortably in the Mat Kilau tent, they had the upgraded nasi lemak breakfast, and the team even put together a birthday setup for their mum during the BBQ dinner. The fire show capped off the night. They walked away saying the outside bathroom was actually part of the charm, not a problem.
Another mum who brought her two daughters stayed in the Kasturi tent and loved the bamboo toilet design, the clean setup, and the fire show. She's already planning to come back. Her words: suitable for family bonding. Hard to argue with that.

TAHAN Tip
If you're planning a birthday or anniversary celebration here, mention it early during booking. Based on what one family shared, the team went the extra mile to set up a birthday moment during the BBQ dinner — that kind of thing doesn't happen if you spring it on them last minute. The hosts here are clearly the type who'll make the effort if you give them a heads-up. Also, the fire show seems to be a nightly highlight — don't turn in early thinking it's just a small thing. Gather the family and watch it properly.
