Lengkong Naga Campsite — Durian, River Boats and Kampung Vibes All in One
The Vibe
This one is not your typical jungle trek campsite. Lengkong Naga is more of a kampung nature retreat — the kind of place where you slow down, makan durian sampai kenyang, and watch the sun set over the river while the kids splash around. It's in Bandar Bera, Pahang, tucked inside a fruit orchard area with a river running through it. Peaceful doesn't even cover it.
The crowd here is mostly families and groups looking for a chill getaway. You're not coming here to conquer anything. You're coming here to breathe, fish by the lake, hop on a boat ride, and eat fruit straight from the trees. If that sounds like your kind of holiday, you're going to love this place.

What makes it different is the whole package — camping, chalets, BBQ, durian picking, river activities. The hosts are hands-on and friendly. Multiple reviewers called them out specifically for being warm and helpful. That matters a lot when you're bringing the whole family to somewhere unfamiliar.
Getting There
The address is Kg Paya Telok, 28200 Bandar Bera, Pahang. Bera is a bit of a hidden gem area — not many people drive out this way, which honestly makes it better. From KL, you're looking at roughly 2 to 2.5 hours depending on traffic. Head towards Temerloh, then follow the route towards Bera. Use the Google Maps link (search for Lengkong Naga Campsite or call ahead at 012-981 3224) — it'll take you right in.
The road into the kampung area should be accessible by regular car. Nothing in the reviews suggests you need a 4WD. Still, call ahead before you go — just to confirm the route and whether they need you to book in advance.

What to Expect
Flat ground, river views, fruit trees, kampung atmosphere. This is not a forest campsite with trails and waterfalls. It's more of an agro-tourism setup with proper camping options. Think fruit orchard meets riverside retreat.
There's a lake on-site for fishing — bring your own rod. The boat ride on the river is a highlight. Reviewers mention a small island stop where kids can wade in the shallow water. The sunset from the boat? Apparently something else entirely.

Crowd level seems manageable. This is not a mainstream spot, so you won't be fighting for tent space with 50 other campers on a public holiday weekend. Great for beginners, families, or anyone who just wants to disconnect without roughing it too hard.
Facilities
Accommodation
Both tent camping and chalets are available. Good if half your group wants to rough it and the other half doesn't.
BBQ Area
There's a BBQ area on-site. Bring your own supplies or check with the hosts if they provide anything.
River Boat Ride
One of the main draws. Sunset boat ride on the river with a stop at a small island. Reviewers loved this — especially for kids.
Fishing Lake
There's a lake on-site. Bring your fishing gear.
Durian and Fruit Picking
This is seasonal but when it's on, it's on. Durian, mangosteen, pomelo, rambutan — all from the orchard. Affordable, according to reviewers.

What Campers Are Saying
Hafizah and her group came during durian season and went full kampung mode — durian picking, BBQ, river boat ride at sunset. She said the sunset view from the boat was unforgettable, and the kids had a blast wading in the river by the island. Five stars, no hesitation.
Muhairis drove out specifically for durian and the river view — and stayed long enough to discover the fishing lake. His verdict: come with family, embrace nature, get fresh air. Simple review, but that's exactly the kind of campsite this is.

Zaeim called it an affordable getaway — durian feasts without burning a hole in the wallet, chalet stays, and quiet riverside fishing. That combo is harder to find than people realise.
Nur Farisha kept it short: "breathtaking kampung view." Sometimes that's all you need to say. Faris echoed the same — peaceful, beautiful, no better way to spend your holiday. Hard to argue with that.

TAHAN Tip
Durian season in Pahang usually runs from June to August, with a shorter season around December. If you're going specifically for the durian picking activity, time your trip right — call 012-981 3224 first to check if the orchard is in season before you make the drive from KL.
