This is a glamping and café spot in Brinchang, Cameron Highlands, offering dome accommodation and a restaurant-café setup. If you drove up here expecting to pitch your own khemah, you're at the wrong place.

What it's selling is the aesthetic — warm lighting, elegant chandeliers, draped ceilings, earthy tones. Very Instagram-able, very café-meets-resort energy. The crowd here is mostly couples on a date, families wanting a cosy highland meal, or people who want the glamping photo without the dirt under their fingernails. And honestly, for a casual visit, the ambience delivers.

But if you're eyeing the dome accommodation? That's where things get complicated. The gap between what's advertised and what you actually get is... significant. More on that below.

Getting There

The address is Lot 13, Jalan Golden Hills, Brinchang, 39000 Pahang. Brinchang is right at the top of Cameron Highlands — past Tanah Rata and Ringlet, keep heading up. Jalan Golden Hills is a short road off the main Brinchang strip, so it's not hard to find. Just plug the Google Maps link into your phone and follow along. The road up to Brinchang itself can be slow on weekends — bajet an extra 30-45 minutes if you're heading up on a Saturday or during school holidays. No 4WD needed, normal car is fine.

What to Expect

Cameron Highlands weather is the real selling point here — cool, misty, sometimes rainy, always refreshing. When it's not raining, it's genuinely lovely. Even the critical reviewers didn't have anything bad to say about the weather. That's Cameron for you.

The café and restaurant side of things seems solid. Food gets positive mentions — pineapple rice, pad thai, creamy pasta, steamboat dinner. The drinks are well-presented. Service is friendly. If you're just coming up for a meal or a coffee session with friends or family, this place will probably make you happy.

The dome accommodation is a different story. At close to RM1,000 per night, expectations are obviously high. What some guests found was that the "secluded nature view" in the photos doesn't quite match up with the actual surroundings — residential houses nearby, café diners with sightlines toward the accommodation, and a transparent walkway to the washroom that a few guests found genuinely uncomfortable. If privacy matters to you, read the fine print before you book.

This spot suits couples or families looking for a highland café experience, or those who want a comfortable glamping-style stay and don't mind a more social, less secluded setting. It's not for the serious camper or anyone expecting a wilderness escape. What Campers Are Saying

One reviewer who stayed in the dome spent close to RM1,000 for the night expecting the private, scenic highland escape shown in the listing photos. What she got instead was a clear view of residential houses on one side and café diners on the other. The transparent walkway to the washroom made every trip there feel awkward. She was pretty blunt about it — not worth the price, and the advertising doesn't match reality.

On the flip side, a group who came for lunch ordered pineapple rice, pad thai, and creamy pasta and left happy. The food was good, the décor was beautiful, the vibe was right. Only gripe — a few flies around. Same issue came up from the family who stayed overnight for the steamboat dinner. Food was great, but flies at breakfast were a problem.

The family glamping crowd seems to have a better time overall — one guest mentioned the highland weather was "100% fantastic" and the complimentary late-night tidbits (biscuits and packet milk) were a nice touch, even if it's simple. The movie on the big screen got rained out, which is just Cameron being Cameron.

Brinchang sits at the highest point in Cameron Highlands — nights regularly dip below 18°C and it can feel colder than that when it rains. The dome structure may look insulated in photos but don't assume it's warm. Pack accordingly. Also, come for dinner rather than breakfast — the steamboat gets consistent praise, while the morning spread has had some complaints. And if you're driving up on a weekend, get there before noon. Brinchang gets congested fast and parking in this area fills up.
