The Vibe

Getting There

The address is along Jalan Padawan, Kampung Peraya, about 14km in, near Siburan. From Kuching city, it's roughly a one-hour drive — reviewers consistently mention this, so budget your time accordingly. The road into the area is a standard rural kampung road, nothing extreme. No 4WD needed. Parking is available but limited, especially on weekends. Carpool if you're coming in a group, or get there early to snag a spot. What to Expect

This is a recreational river spot, not a wilderness experience. The river is the main draw — it's wide, long, and has different depth zones. Some parts are ankle-deep, some are 12 feet down. Current can be fast, especially after rain, so don't take the water for granted. Staff are stationed nearby and will wave you off from going too deep, which is reassuring especially if you're bringing kids or non-swimmers.

The flying fox is the highlight. Going up feels scarier than coming down — but the descent is slower and more relaxed than you'd expect. Good fun. The rope swing exists too, but landing can be shallow so take care on that one. Available if you pre-book. The management can set up canopies for group events — so coordinate in advance rather than showing up and hoping.
