Getting There

Head to Bedong, Kedah — it's roughly 30–40 minutes from Sungai Petani and about 20 minutes from Kulim. Plug in "Permaipura Golf & Country Club" on Google Maps and it'll take you right there. The address is Jalan Permaipura 6, 08100 Bedong. It's a gated club, so just let them know you're there for camping when you arrive at the guard post. The road in is paved and proper — no 4WD nonsense, totally accessible in any normal car. If you're coming from the North-South Highway, exit at Gurun or Sungai Petani and follow signs toward Bedong.

What to Expect

This is a fully facilitated campsite — think glamping-lite. You're pitching your tent in a shaded area overlooking the golf course, with greenery all around. The grounds are well-maintained and clean, which already puts it above a lot of sites. There's a BBQ area, a small fire pit with wood available nearby, and a proper kitchen setup that most campsites would never dream of offering.

Crowd-wise, it's on the private side — gated access means it doesn't get overrun. Good for families, friend groups, or anyone who wants a chill getaway without hauling gear deep into the jungle. Beginners will feel very comfortable here. Hardcore campers might find it a bit too comfortable, tapi that's not the point lah.

Check-in is at 3pm sharp — don't show up early expecting to chill in an air-conditioned room, because that's not part of the deal. The Woods Cafe on-site has aircon, but the camp itself doesn't. Plan your arrival time accordingly.

Pricing is straightforward: RM30/pax if you bring your own tent, RM60/pax if you want to use their tent or chalet. For a fully facilitated site like this, that's reasonable.
